Back to Basics

Eating your way to vibrant health I am finding can be a reality.  With the rise of life threatening diseases that are proven to be caused from our industrialization.  Much is to be said of the necessity of getting back to basics.  Eating and living as close as we possibly can in harmony with the land where we live.  Growing or purchasing produce, groceries, and products that are produced as close to our homes as possible.  Minimizing our pollution impact from our goods coming from over seas.  Foods we are eating having fresh ingredients loaded with nutrients, instead of being processed and produced in some factory somewhere.  Our meals fully prepared in our kitchens or those of loved ones, family and friends.  Bringing us once again that close vitally important intimate connection with our land, food, family and friends.  Creating vibrant healthy lives that we have somewhere along the way of industrialization lost site of and forgotten that it is even possible to feel good and healthy everyday.

I am living proof that waking up and listening to the signs my body was screaming at me and doing something different than what society was telling me was good for me has made a tremendous difference.  When my body was breaking down and feeling like Sh** all the time.  Changing my diet to fresh ingredients, getting more rest, eliminating excess from my life in terms of things I thought I had to do and instead doing things that were really important in the grand scheme of things like having more fun, enjoying as much of my life as I can as well as the people and planet surrounding me.  This is where the transformation began and has been a treasured grateful addition in my life ever since.  Vibrant living is possible and oh so worth it!

Best Wishes!

Maybe I was Thomas Jefferson in a past life :)

“If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Working on a book

I have been working on a small book with the intention of sharing some basic information of where my life went in regards to my own diet and health.  It has been suggested that I elaborate on why processed foods are bad for us.  Explaining the different processes of making these foods and why they are harmful.  Do I really have to explain why foods chemically cooked up in a laboratory would be not a vibrant way of bringing life into our bodies?  Do I really have to explain why pesticides and herbicides would be harmful for us to ingest?

Ugh!

Fall Bisques = Yum

I have been doing different fall harvest blended soups…

Butternut squash, celery, purified water, very small amount of minced garlic, lots of minced ginger.  Brought to boil then simmer on low for aprox 50 min.  Then carefully ladle soup into blender, and blend.  Then I have been adding the blended soup to already cooked Long Grain Brown rice , shredded dulse ( i put dulse into a dry blender and shred it), chopped up heirloom tomatoes, and sea salt if needed.

Also did a blended soup with golden beets, celery, and a green squash that was the shape of a small pumpkin, very small amount of garlic, lots of ginger, and tops of the beets on the very top of the beautifully yummy medley.  Once again added to it the rice, and dulse, could not get good tomatoes for this one.

Blended anything seems to digest easier for me so thats why I blended these lovely little creations.

Get creative I am encouraging you to try these or come up with your own variations.  Go with what feels and tastes right to you!!

Blessings to You and your yummy food, Cheers!

10 Reasons to Throw Out the Microwave!!!

There’s a microwave in most homes. People use them for anything from heating water to cooking full meals (think of all the packaged meals that have microwave instruction along with stove top.)
If you care about what your family eats you should care about how the food is cooked.

From the conclusions of Swiss, Russian and German scientific clinical studies, we can no longer ignore the microwave oven sitting in our kitchens.

1). Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term — permanent — brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].

2). The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.

3). Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.

4). The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.

5). Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.

6). The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.

7). Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

8). The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.

9). Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.

10). Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.
